REGISTRATION FEES INCREASE OCTOBER 1st!
Time and effort define classics and for 30 years the Vulcan Run
has been Birmingham’s prestigious 10K road race. The Vulcan 10K
(6.2 miles) and One Mile Family Fun Run is the longest running road race
in Birmingham’s history. The 10K course starts by Boutwell
Auditorium and winds through the downtown Birmingham before heading out
towards the rolling hills of historical Birmingham. Runners head up
Highland Avenue and wind past the stately homes of Highland Avenue
before turning down 20th Street and racing downhill beneath the majestic
buildings of downtown to the finish line at Linn Park. The post race
party this year is sure to please, with lots of door prizes and
live music by "Old Brown Shoe".
This year's Vulcan Run benefits the Birmingham Track
Club and Vulcan
Park.
