Register Today For The Vulcan Run!
 Experience the "Magic City" of Birmingham, AL as the 10K course takes you through many of the historical areas of Old Birmingham, and New Birmingham. You won't want to miss running this "Birmingham Tradition" - the longest running road race in Birmingham's History! Be a part of that tradition, register now for the Vulcan 10K Run or the 1 Mile Family Fun Run. Check out the Vulcan Run Course Map - at what mile do you see the Vulcan Statue?
November is racing weather in Birmingham, usually 40 - 50 degrees! If you are coming in from out of town or just want to sleep in, stay at one of our featured hotels or B&B. New this year - long sleeve t-shirts for 10K participants, Fun Runners will get a short sleeve t-shirt. JRag our Presenting Sponsor will have Vulcan Run Merchandise up for sale at Packet Pickup and race morning. The Birmingham Track Club will also have some great deals on BTC Merchandise race morning. The Trak Shak will also have their new fall merchandise on sale - so, plenty of opportunities to get some great running gear for the fall/winter season. Birmingham's own CBS 42 will be providing TV coverage of the event, so, tune in 42 evening news for the recap of Vulcan Run Race.
$5,000 in prize money, sponsored by the Trak Shak, goes to top six overall male and female, along with top 3 masters male and female overall. Age Group awards are 0-14 through 85+ in 5 year age brackets, along with Overall, Master, Grand Master, Great Grand Master awards. The RRCA will also be presenting a special award to top finishers as the National 10K Championship! You will want to stick around as we will have the Post Race Party at Boutwell Auditorium. There will be Door Prize give always (must be present to win). We will have live music from the Old Brown Shoe Band, adult beverages (for those over 21), Gatorade, Red Bull, and Pepsi sodas. Full Moon BBQ is our featured food sponsor. We will have plenty of food, massage therapy tables and the awards ceremony. There will also be Race Day Photos taken by SimPhoto which will be available a week after t
he race for online viewing and ordering.
