AVX KultureCity 5K
Join us for our inaugural AVX KCFIT 5K powered by Legion FC in support of sensory inclusion and accessibility. Be part of our KCFIT community, a collective group of individuals who are fueled not just by the desire to be better athletes, but to use their passion to promote acceptance and inclusion of everyone, particularly those with invisible disabilities, and sensory needs. Race this ALL INCLUSIVE 5K through the beautiful streets of Homewood, and enjoy the post race festivities with music and breakfast! EVERYONE, young or old, neurodivergent or neurotypical, racers, joggers or walkers are WELCOMED! And that includes your favorite furry friends (on a leash)! We will have AMAZING awards for numerous categories including biggest team, fastest team, and even for the fastest runner with a stroller! Revive your Halloween costume, or come in your best turkey or Christmas jingle! Crowd response will determine best outfit award winner! Watch out for BHM very own Legion FC soccer players who will be on the course running, cheering and supporting the race!!
Packet Pick Up:
Friday, Nov 10th- 1030 AM to 6 PM at The Trak Shak Homewood
Saturday, Nov 11th- 630 AM-745 AM in front of The Trak Shak
Race Day:
Race Starts at 8 AM directly in front of The Trak Shak!
There will be one water stop on Manhattan Street (participants will go by twice).
The Fun 1 mile run starts at 9 AM.
AWARDS Ceremony will begin at 915 AM.
1st Place Overall Male & Female- $200 cash
2nd Place Overall Male & Female- $100 cash
3rd Place Overall Male & Female- $75 cash
1st Place Overall Neurodivergent – $200 Cash
2nd Place Overall Neurodivergent – $100 cash
3rd Place Overall Neurodivergent – $75 cash
1st Place Masters Male & Female (40 & Over) – $100 Cash
1st Place Masters Neurodivergent- $100 cash
Award for Largest group- $250 Cash
Award for Fastest group- $250 Cash
All teams will consist of a minimum of 5 members. There is no maximum number of members per team. For scoring, the top 5 overall places based on chip time in each team will be added and must include at least one female runner. The fastest overall time wins!
Top 3 Male and Female in each age group. Age groups- 15 and Under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Award for fastest male, female and neurodivergent with a stroller.
Award for best outfit!

*participants in the virtual 5K are not eligible for age group awards
Runners must register by Oct 22 to get the exclusive KCFIT 5K shirt. All registrants (including virtual 5K and fun 1 mile) will receive the 2023 MLB all star bag, and other swags!
