Head Over Teal 5K & 10K
Keep the Tradition of Running or Walking in Laura Crandall Brown Foundation’s Head Over Teal 5K or 10K taking place during GYN Cancer Awareness Month!
The proceeds from the race benefit the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation. This annual event helps us provide GYN cancer programs to women, patients, and caregivers throughout the year. LCBF focuses on early detection research, awareness education, and support services for GYN cancer patients and families. Since our founding in 2009, we have granted more than $650,000 for ovarian cancer early detection research, educated tens of thousands of community members on GYN cancer prevention info, signs and symptoms, and provided emotional, educational, and over $250,000 in direct financial support to thousands of GYN cancer patients and their loved ones.
Race Day Info
Shuttles will run from Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4600 Preserve Parkway, starting at 6:30 am.
5K and 10K Races will Start at 8 am.
Runners are responsible for knowing the course and staying on course.
Join us after the race for the fall-themed family fun activities and food and beverages.
*If you are a survivor and would like to have a survivor race t-shirt, please register before August 25th to reserve your survivor shirt and answering “yes” to “Are you a GYN cancer survivor” during registration.
*We are collecting names and color photos to add to the 2023 Memorial Garden. If you have a loved one to add to the Memorial Garden, please email [email protected]*
Pets at the Race:
Pets are welcome to participate. All pets must be on a leash. Please clean up after your pet. The actions of the pet are the responsibility of the pet owner/caretaker.
Strollers at the Race:
We allow strollers at the event. If you are participating with a stroller and/or children, we ask that you keep your children with you at all times. For the child’s safety, we ask that the child stays in the stroller until crossing the finish line.
***There are NO refunds of registration fees. This event will occur rain or shine, warm or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds, rather, your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation
