XTERRA Oak Mountain Mud Runs 5K/10K/21K/42K

Date: May 21

There is no excuse to skip the XTERRA Oak Mountain Trail Runs on May 21 at Pelham, Ala.
Are you a beginner-level runner? There’s a 5-kilometer course. You only like to do 10Ks? There’s a 10-kilometer course.
You say you like the challenge of a trail run, and want to go longer than a 10K? Try the 21-kilometer half-marathon.
For the extreme runners, a 42-kilometer, full-marathon trail course is also available this year. And it’s going to feature one epic loop up, down and around Oak Mountain State Park (not two laps around the 21k course).
In summary, the XTERRA Oak Mountain Trail Runs  has something for everyone, and runners of all ages and skill levels are welcome to enter. Registration is open at www.xterraplanet.com.
Entry fees are $25 for the 5k, $30 for the 10k, $40 for the 21k, and $50 for the 42k. Discounts are available for students and military personnel.
And for runners who have previously entered races in the XTERRA Alabama Trail Run Series, the Oak Mountain Trail Runs will serve as the final race in the series for 2011. That means this will be the last chance to earn points toward the regional standings.
